I'm in business

Big thanks to Jimmy and Jay C for helping out getting the tranny and t-case back in

Not sure exactly what was causes all of the violent vibration but many things had gone ill.

Broken stud on torque converter

Broken engine mounts

coolant leak at timing chain cover(gasket)

torn grommet at brake booster(vacume leak)

torn gasket between carb and intake(vacume leak)

Mechanical fan threw a blade(not sure where that went) lucky that didn't go through the radiator.

Since the front dress had to come off the engine to replace the timing chain housing gasket I replaced the harmonic balancer with a new one.

I drove the bronco around some saturday and didn't like the way it was shifting and double checked the modulater valve and vacume lines and they looked good. Drove it again to robersonville today and my guess is the new torque converter has a higher stall than the old one. The shifts are a tad higher up in the rpm band. The new converter must have been for a car rather than a truck.

Not really a big deal as I usually manually shift the tranny while wheeling

Looking forward to wheelin and eating some ribs

Had a Great Turn out, 7 members and 2 guest.

Break downs:
Bruce: Transfer case would not go into low, cut a tire.
John: broke steering shaft ( thanks Jimmy for having a welder and Keith for welding it)
Keith: 2 dead battery's and bad trems on tow rig.

It rained all nite Friday so it was real muddy on the trails, made for some fun wheeling.
it was cold but had fun sitting around camp fire, Thank you Sue for the best ribs.

Ed, John, Bruce, Keith, Jimmy, Clay I can not seem to upload any photos as they are too big at 3mb+ per pic, but i sure would be glad to exchange/pass alone some photos of our trip thru emails. you can email me at Norns63 (either yahoo or hotmail, ur choice) to get things started. Might make a special tital so i would know as i delete loads of poo everyday from inboxes, some nice pic's
