4-wheel-drive with appropriate tires

Factory hard top, roll bar or roll cage (depending on trail)

Functioning brakes (check before you arrive)

Snatch strap (loops on ends, NO metal hooks)

Spare tire, appropriate jack, and lug wrench

First aid kit

Fire extinguisher, secured near driver ( A, B, C rating)

Seat belts for all riders

Tow hooks front and rear

Battery bolted down ( no bungee cords)

Legal exhaust system

Working flash light

Leather gloves

Food and water (NO alcohol is allowed on trails for anyone)

Tools and spare parts as appropriate

All interior items must be tied down or secured

This covers the basics for your vehicle.

We will be staying at the campground, so think about luxury items like heating blanket, fan, etc...

A fan or heater depending on the temps. This of course warrants an extension cord.

Some lawn or fold up chairs

Firewood if ya want a fire

Personally I prefer an air matress over a sleeping bag.

Hanging lantern

Trash Bags

Coolers and ice

Food and drink of course(alcohol is not allowed in the forest)

The past few trips, we usually cook out at the campsite one night and go into troy for dinner one night to zinos (good italian food) Plus there's a food lion next door so it allows a pit stop for whatever inevitably gets forgotten

Outpost for breakfast as it just seems to take forever to eat and clean up the mess from cooking and actually get on the trail.

Either pack lunch and eat on the trail or head back to camp and have lunch and take a little break

The meal agenda is no way written in stone. Whatever works for everyone is good

Usually the week before we will start talking about it. Also we can bring it up at the monthly meeting.

It takes about 3 hrs., sometimes we convoy.

This might be a stupid question but I have never seen the camping areas other then the hunt camp.
So I am sort of lost here Ed. Are you saying that one site will be room for everyone or do I need to reserve another?

There's enough room for everybody, well at least for 10-12 people, rigs, haulers, tents etc.

Hint camp is semi-primitive

Arrowhead has a paved driveway on the site. This comes in handy if somebody breaks something underneath. Jack-up the truck and ya don't have to lay in the mud or gravel.

There are electrical hook-ups at the site so ya can plug in heaters, fans etc. (just to remember to bring an extension cord)

The bath house has hot showers and flush toilets. It's a good idea to bring an extra of TP.

There's also a fire ring, so we can have a bonfire. Gotta bring you're own firewood though.

So, no, you don't need to get your own campsite, plenty of room on this one for the upcoming trip

Ok thanks Ed. I think you may have said something about that camp area before, I just wasn't sure if we would all fit at one site. Nice to Know I don't need to do anything... HAHAHA

I am still going at this point in time..

I don't believe they are. I was up there this past weekend and stayed in Arrowhead. Everything went smooth, and the John Deer Gators they had out there were AWESOME!!! I wish I could go with ya'll for this trip, but its my dad's birthday weekend so I am definitely hoping for to make the next one. I will be at the meeting tomorrow thou.

I went to change the motor mounts today and figured out that I sheared 2 of the 3 motor mount bracket bolts off into the block. I don't know if I will get it fixed in time to go wheeling this weekend, but I really want to make it out.

Right now I just need a right angle drill to drill the 2 bolts out, I should be able to get my hands on one tomorrow. If that does not work then, I might have to partially pull the motor to gain access to the bolts. Wish me luck!

Keith, hit me up if ya need some help

I have a right angle drill somewheres. Did you break the bolts flush with the block? If there's still a bit of a nub on it, it's usually easier to weld a nut to it so you can get a wrench on it.

Crusty, You still coming??

Steve and Jen??

Bruce?

John, can we weld it??

One of my Bronco buddies will be joining

The bolts broke off 1/4" inside the block.
