I need some help with the buggy to finish it up for KOH!

Things I need help with:

installing new O rings on the H1 wheels and installing the rock rings on the rims
WIRING!!! I have not wired the buggy and know VERY LITTLE about it. This is the biggest part of what is left. I have a lot but I still need to get some relays and wires so I'll need help with this!

Brake lines
GEARS! I'm installing the front and rear gears this weekend and need help!
Installing the sway bar!

I can provide food, drinks, etc.

You get a chance to help get me to KOH! If you help out, bring whatever decals you want and I'll put em on the buggy for your support!

I'll be in the garage all weekend in Greenville. Come by and help out! I need it!

Call me if you have some time to help. 252-341-2016

Thanks,
Rob

I can help you with the brake lines and wiring

Do you have GOOD electrical tools and brake line bending and flaring tools?

I can bring these if you need them

I have very little electrical tools. Most of its what I've gathered over the years from having to do something last minute, etc. and has always gotten me by. By no means do I call the electrical tools I have "GOOD"

Brake lines. I have the vinyl (plastic) kits from speedway motors. So, simple PVC vinyl cutters are the only tools needed for that. No bleeding tools. I guess I prob. should invest in some of the vacumn setup, but I've never really needed it in the past. Maybe its time

I have some of the electrical wires, relays, switch panels, etc. To be honest, I've put the electrical off because I don't really know much about it. I'm sure there are some parts I'll need. I do have 2, 100' rolls of 14ga wire (red and black). I'm sure this is too big for some things but I figured I'd need something and was going to start with this. I prob have 8 or so 30 and 40 amp relays in addition to the ones for my lights. I do have my battery mounted but have zero battery cables to date. I was going to figure out everything (at least try...) then pick up exactly what I needed. If someone can help figure out the system, I'm fine with going out and picking everyting I need to finish up, etc.

BIG BIG thanks to Ed for helping out with the wiring. Hopefully it'll all be knocked out by Wed and we can fire this thing up!

Got the exhaust parts Tuesday afternoon and I welded it all up Tuesday evening. Right now its at East Coast Gear Supply getting the gears installed. I should be back in town mid afternoon today to install the completed exhaust. That way we can finish up the wiring and plumbing. I'm waiting on a few parts to show up, nothing major.

Ham radios came in Tuesday, so I have that availalbe to wire up too but thats super simple

Driveshafts came in Tuesday as well. So, I can start installing driveshafts and axles this evening

Once again, thanks again to Ed for helping out late tonight. We got a chance to crank the engine, so we know the wiring seems to be good to that point Friday evening it should be running and possibly driving if I can get the brakes bled and the hydraulic steering operational.

Also, thanks to WG for stopping by and lending a hand putting the buggy back together.

Well, we decided not to go to KOH. The rig is untested and there are several issues that need to be adjusted to make it competitive and we felt that driving 3000 miles to race a rig that was not complete let alone not tested was crazy and would be a waste of $$$. So, we cut our losses and will fine tune it for Mt. City and the open ride at DPG. Hopefully it'll be ready for the upcoming ECORS race in March 20.

BIG thanks to everyone that helped out. Sorry your help wasn't utilized to get us to KOH, but it was very welcomed. Nobody is more dissapointed than I as I've worked night and day for the last month and a half to get this thing ready.

Once again, THANK YOU to all the help, even the guys that just helped out for a couple of hours.

Maybe next year.
