Is anyone who has a tube bender interested in helping me to mount my son's racing seat in the back of the wrangler?

I can help out.

I put one on John's TJ (jeepercreature) a few years ago. We center mounted the seat and used poly bushings and pins to mount it to the existing cage. Made for easy removal if need be.

That's sort of what I had in mind. Do you have tube I can pay you for or do I need to source my own? There may be a need to modify the existing roll cage due to seat height, I won't know until the seat actually gets to me.

I'd expect to pick up some tube. I have a piece but its reserved for the buggy. I can help you source some that isn't over priced

That's sounds good, I'm sure you get it cheaper than I can. I'll post back up when the seat actually arrives.

The seat should have been here last week. With the race this past weekend I couldn't get any response from Carolina Truggies about ETA. I'll let you know as soon as it arrives. Any Idea how many sticks I'll might need to buy?

I wouldn't think you'd need more than 1 piece. Depending on how you want to do it, some tabs and poly busings would be nice as well. I don't have any left

Well Rob,
I got the pre-teen seat in today and I can look at it and tell I will need to rework the rear of the cage. My cage is a Poisen Spyder full cage. It slopes way down in the back. I think what I will need to do is cut out the existing tube and replace it with longer pieces to accommodate the height of the seat+mounting tube+Tuffy box.
Are you still up for helping w/this project since it is becoming more involved?

Well, it's been 10 days since my improperly built custom pre-teen seat arrived for Nicholai. I have been waiting all this time for a return label to be faxed or emailed from PRP and it looks as if it will finally go back tomorrow. They tell me that they have already begun making a replacement, I'm not holding my breath that it will be right this time. More to follow as the saga continues...

Nicholai is 5yrs3mos old so he is still a little short for the standard harness slots. So, I paid them to install two additional slots lower in the seat which aren't there. They also sent the wrong harness.
