NCK Members in attendance...

Joe (with Aussie and Stetson)
Ed (with Sue and Kiah)
Jimmy (with Jackie, Shelby and Emily)

Arrived Friday afternoon and after some unpacking Joe and I ran Rocky Mt loop and sawmill, nice little ride with me having to pull cable(High centered)

Lorenzo along with his son and Jimmy & family arrived after dark.

Saturdays trail rides were Wolfs Den, Falls Dam and Dicky Bell. We were joined by a couple of Dodge raiders and had a good trail ride.

After a late lunch at the campsites, Rocky Mt loop was the next trail. We came upon a jeep that had rolled on the big rock and another jeep that had busted a bead trying to recover the rolled jeep. In true NCK fasion we lended a hand and got those fellas rolling again. Lorenzo popped a bead for a second or two requiring a little air to get going again. Back to the campsite we went and off to Zenos for Dinner.

Sunday we were joined by a Cherokee and a Toyota and took on Daniel and a few continued on to Rocky Mt loop with others going back to camp to start the packing up rituals.

Good weekend as there wasn't any carnage

The Raider guys did have a blast, I think Mark (Gold Raider) has gotten the Uwharrie bug this being his first trip out. After I got out there it really made me wish I hadn't cut my plans down from the entire weekend to just a 1 day trip (original plans were to stay Fri-Sun). It worked out though, was fighting a sinus infection the whole time there and ended up passed out more than half the day Sunday after getting back shortly after midnight that morning.

But as always had a great time doing Wolfs Den, Falls Dam, Dickey Bell, and Rocky Mount with you guys. I am going here in a few to get my pictures developed since everything was closed yesterday so I should have them up by tonight. Sucks I missed out on the Daniel run on Sunday, but there is always the October Hallo'wharrie trip for that. Might even have a badly needed body lift by then too.

Funny guy, as I recall I have been to Harlen and URE this year despite my rig being down for a rebuild. I'd say I'm doing OK. Plus the year isn't over yet!!

Trips don't count unless you wheel your own stuff

All my pictures are on my computer, I revised/cropped a set and I have the full resolution set. I should have them up early tomorrow morning after getting off work. Got delayed dealing with going to the doctors and a couple other things.

got three videos up

Ed and Joe playing in the mud pit
you can hear my son asking me to build a truck as big as Joe's so we can go in the mud.

me yellin at Ed to line him up just right after JoeD makes the ledge look easy.
Ed couldn't see my hands at first (I wonder why) so I just ended up shouting at him.
Turning is a bitchk when you're slam 'gainst a big rock
He finally got where he needed to be and even though he looks really close to the tree... it aint. He just slid right on by. That ledge is getting worse and worse every time I see it.

Last video is Wayne driving his Cali Toy up the second ledge on Daniel and cool cat named LaMont
who was playing up at DPG the day before. He didn't want to go all the way back to Raleigh so Wayne sent him to our camp to stay the night... Shoot he almost didn't go wheeling. Lamont had issues starting the XJ after it he drove it off his trailer. After about an hour of checking connections, and listening for fuel... we got it running. We think it was just moisture in the connections somewhere.
You can find Lamont on NC4x4 - ex marine and pretty nice guy for a jeeper!

thats it kids.
see you on the trails.
