Grocery Getter Xformation (GGX) is now under way again. The xformation began about three years ago with a 4.5" RE lift and 33' BFG AT's but it stalled a bit since then. In January it was revived again w/ a new rear 8.8 axle and Detroit locker and 4.56 gears. Recently, due to piercing a hole in a side wall at WG's it got some new Maxxis MT's. The GGX went to URE a couple weeks ago, first wheeling trip ever for this Jeep, causing the GGX to recommence at full speed. Below are pics of it's current state.

They are Hanson bumpers. You may still be able to get the front bumper through 4wd.com but the rear bumper and tire carrier are definitely not available. I had wanted to add the rear tire carrier but Hanson told me flat out they will not support the ZJ rear bumper products any further. I would look at www.kevinsoffroad.com for some bumpers. Kevin does quality work and had I to do it over again I would use his.

Just some food for thought if anyone is planning on dealing with "KOR". It took from the first of May, when I place my order, until last week, 7/8/08, to get all my parts. They are very difficult to contact since they prefer email. The main parts came in a relatively timely fashion, just not all the mounting hardware and parts came with them. I could have fabricated the parts and gotten the hardware at a hardware store but I had already paid for them. Overall, I still think "KOR" does good work but they seemed to be lacking on the finer points of customer service as of late.

Made a little more progress...

My HD crossmember and transfercase skid...you will also notice the front drive shaft missing. It has been the cause of the teeth rattling vibrations. It was away being rebalanced during the photo shoot.

Finally got the roof tire carrier finished, no thanks to "Kevin's Off Road", and the spare tire is on the roof. Pics may follow...
