Made some progress last night. Put the front back together with the flanges and the new knuckles. I'll be taking it back apart before I am done to rotate the C's back towards stock a few degrees. Spent just as much time admiring my newly found bling. :judaspriest:

'bout time you started a thread for it. I've been following along on the ZR2 site (I can't register there for some reason) When's the "expected" finish date?

where'd you get the retarded stands??

Here is where the stands came from, worthy investment from my perspective. Cost about $99 to ship 4 of them.

Hoping to be finished around April some time, kinda depends on how much time I put into details.

I really don't know, I think between 6.5" and 7.5" depending on the travel of ram you use.

Got an air/hydrolic JMR with a JMR notcher. Should work pretty good. I might take you up on those tabs, do you have different sizes?

Of course these are very preliminary, there is still a ton of fitting to do. And the radiator core suport must be replaced now. The whole reason I had to do this is to eliminate tire rubbing behind the headlight. I think I am going to put turn signals in the space between the grill and the fender. And then some type of low/high beam head light next to the GMC logo.

This is pretty close to the final cut, still have to take about .25" out of the back and cut the drivers side fender accurately. I am very happy with the way it turned out. When it's all sitting how it should there is very little error. And of course the grill will be where it should.

Total cut...

about 20" out of the front
and about 3" out of the back "in front of windshield."

looking good.

I have various sizes of tabs. All have a 1/2" hole in them but it can be driled out larger if needed. They are cut to fit 1.75" tube, axle tubes, and some that have flat bottoms.
